RE: Agreement Regarding Annexation of Certain Weld County Roads
Dear Mayors Tagliente and Patterson:
This letter is to memorialize the agreement between Weld County and the Towns of Frederick
and Firestone regarding the annexation of portions of Weld County Roads ("WCR's") 13 and 20.
The agreement was discussed at our meeting on April 8, 1996.
We agreed as follows:
1) Weld County will withdraw from its Annexation Petition to Firestone the request
for the annexation of that portion of WCR 13 which is also part of the proposed
Finley Annexation to Frederick, except for the 30 feet of WCR 13 lying south of
the southern right-of-way line of WCR 20.
2) Frederick will remove from its proposed Finley Annexation all of WCR 20.
3) Frederick and Firestone will establish setback requirements for those portions
of their municipal territories abutting WCR 20 which will ensure a future right-of-
way width of 120 feet for WCR 20 as it proceeds east from Interstate 25.
4) Weld County, Frederick, and Firestone will meet sometime within the next three

months to discuss design standards, revenue sharing, and infrastructure for WCR
20, and to discuss the towns northern growth boundaries.
If this letter adequately states our agreement, please sign below and return the original to me at
P.O. Box 758, Greeley, Colorado 80632. Please let me know as soon as possible if you see the
need for any changes.
