TRANSFER MONIES FROM
CONTINGENT FUND TO
COUNTY GENERAL FUND:
WHEREAS, the Colorado Tax Commission, on November
the Weld County Commissioners that upon receipt of the Weld
for an 8,00 mill levy for the County General Fund for 1969,
mills in excess of the statutory limit as set forth in 1963
and
4, 1968, advised
County application
that it was 3.00

WHEREAS, the Colorado Tax Commission reduced the 8.00 mills to
5 mills, the maximum statutory levy for the General Fund and placed 3.00 mills
into the Contingency Fund, and
said

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners was then advised that
monies raised by the 3.00 mills could be transferred from the Contingency
into the County General Fund when the need arose, and
WHEREAS, the need has now arisen whereby the County General Fund
is in need of this money in the amount of $547,000.00 to meet the budgeted
obligations of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners, this
is a transfer of funds as authorized and approved by the Colorado Tax Commission
and as contemplated by the statutes of the State of Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that $547,000.00 shall be transferred from the
Contingency Fund of Weld County, Colorado, into the County General Fund of
Weld County in accordance with the instructions of the Colorado Tax Commission;

PROVIDED, however, that said transfer shall not be effective until
after a public hearing is had on such proposed transfer; that which such hearing
is hereby called and set for 10:00 o'clock A. M., December 1, 1969, at the
office of the Board of County Commissioners in the Weld County Courthouse.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that public notice of such hearing shall be
given by publication of a notice thereof, same for said time and place in the
official newspaper of said County; to -wit: The Greeley Booster, a public
newspaper, not less than ten days before such hearing.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded) adopted by the following votes

duly published on October 31, 1.969, a public hearing was had on the following:
Matter of Transfer of Funds from Contingent Fund to County General Fund in the
amount of $547,000.00; Mater of Transfer of Funds from Contingent Fund to the
Weld County Officials and Employees Retirement Fund in the amount of $35,000.00.
There being no opposition the aforementioned resolutions became effective as of
