HomeMy WebLinkAbout992474.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2000 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2000 as days off for Weld County employees: New Year's Day January 1st falls on Saturday; therefore holiday is taken Friday, December 31, 1999 Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 21, 2000 Memorial Day Monday, May 29, 2000 Independence Day Monday, July 3, 2000 (replaces Colorado Day) and Tuesday, July 4, 2000 Labor Day Monday, September 4, 2000 Veterans Day November 11 falls on Saturday; therefore, holiday is taken Friday, November 10, 2000 Thanksgiving Thursday, November 23, 2000, and Friday, November 24, 2000 (replaces King's Birthday) Christmas Friday, December 22, 2000, (replaces Columbus Day) and Monday, December 25, 2000 FLOATING HOLIDAYS: Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of Colorado.
