YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPEAL THE ASSESSOR'S DECISION -
The County Board of Equalization will sit to hear appeals beginning July 1 and continuing through August 5 for real
property (land and buildings) and personal property(ffurnishings, machinery, and equipment) 39-8-104 and 39-8-
107(2), C.R.S.
APPEAL PROCEDURES:
If you choose to appeal the Assessor's decision, you must appeal to the County Board of Equalization. To preserve
your right to appeal, your appeal must be POSTMARKED OR DELIVERED ON OR BEFORE JULY 15 FOR
REAL PROPERTY, AND JULY 20 FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY.

I do understand soil type and how it affects productivity.
The parcel listed above is grazing land ; it is not tilled and
depends upon Mother Nature for moistures - its productivity
has not changed in the 30 years I have owned it .
I own two similar grazing parcels in the same area and I believe
the assessors/actual value on them to be fair and just .
The parcel in question , however , is of similar value to the other
two parcels and no better . In fact , 40 acres of it is extremely
rocky . Based on this comparability , I feel the maximum actual
value of above said parcel is closer to 2800 dollars .
Since 1969 ,and each year ' s rent is the same ; I have received
the going rent fee rate of two dollars ($2 . 00) per acre or the
annual rent of $320 for the parcel . Last year the taxes on this
land were $102 . 50 ; approximately one third of the income .
I have made prior appeals to the assessors office and four times
I have requested someone to visit the parcel of land to re-evaluate
the property .
