I submit the following to the Weld County Board of Commissioners, regarding a
resolution asking that existing billboards in Greeley be changed or removed, to
be considered by the Board on Wednesday, October 17, 1999:
I urge the Board to resist this attempt to involve them /Weld County
Government in this issue of perceived racism. Censoring of billboards in not a
function of Weld County Government and the time and resources of the
County should not be spent on this proposed censorship. Please take
responsible action and dismiss consideration of this resolution from your
agenda.
