WHICH INCLUDES THE AIRSTRIPS AND CONTROL TOWER - PLATTE VALLEY

A public hearing was conducted on January 8, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Todd Hodges
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to notices dated December 16, 1996, and duly published
December 19, 1996, in the South Weld Sun, a public hearing was conducted to consider the
request of Platte Valley Airpark, do Marilyn Taylor for a Change of Zone from A (Agricultural) to
PUD (Planned Unit Development) for an airpark with 39 hanger lots and one residential lot and a
Site Specific Development Plan and Planned Unit Development(PUD) Final Plan for an airpark with
39 hanger lots and one residential lot which includes the airstrips and control tower. Lee Morrison,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Todd Hodges, Department of Planning
Services representative, stated staff is requesting both hearings be continued to February 12,
1997, to satisfy the requirements for 30-day publication of the notice for the PUD Plan and the 10-
day posting of the signs. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter. Commissioner
Harbert moved to continue the request of Platte Valley Airpark, do Marilyn Taylor for a Change of
Zone from A (Agricultural) to PUD (Planned Unit Development) for an airpark with 39 hanger lots
and one residential lot and a Site Specific Development Plan and Planned Unit Development(PUD)
Final Plan for an airpark with 39 hanger lots and one residential lot which includes the airstrips and
control tower to February 12, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., based on the recommendation of the
Department of Planning Services staff. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hall, and it
carried unanimously.
