RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1170 FOR A
COMMERCIAL USE (WELDING AND MACHINE SHOP) IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL)
ZONE DISTRICT- HARIMON
A public hearing was conducted on December 17, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:

Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Shani Eastin
Health Department representative, Sheble McConnellough
Public Works representative, Don Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 20, 1997, and duly published
December 3, 1997, in the Platteville Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request
of Troy and Cynthia Harimon for a Commercial Use (Welding and Machine Shop) in the A
(Agricultural)Zone District. Lee Morrison,Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record.
Shani Eastin, Department of Planning Services representative, presented a brief summary of the
proposal and entered the conditional recommendation of the Planning Commission into the record
as written. She stated the eastern access has been closed by the applicant to accommodate the
Planning Commission's recommendation.
In response to Commissioner Kirkmeyer, Troy Harimon, applicant, stated he agrees with the
Conditions of Approval and Development Standards. Responding to Commissioner Hall, he
explained the eastern access was closed by placing a metal gate across it. No public testimony
was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Harbert moved to approve the request of Troy and Cynthia Harimon for a Site
Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit#1170 for a Commercial Use (Welding and
Machine Shop) in the A(Agricultural) Zone District, based on the recommendations of the Planning
staff and the Planning Commission, with the Conditions of Approval and Development Standards
as entered into the record. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kirkmeyer, and it carried
unanimously.
