Home My WebLink About990063.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JANUARY 11, 1999 TAPE #99-01 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in a regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, January 11, 1999, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED Commissioner George E. Baxter Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick Director of Finance and Administration, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Baxter moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of January 6, 1999, as printed. Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of $35,167.22. Commissioner Geile moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Baxter seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. BUSINESS: NEW: CONSIDER CHILD AND ADULT PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY: Judy Griego, Director of Social Services, stated under this agreement, the Department of Social Services will reimburse the County Attorney's Office a maximum amount of$163,900 for legal services in child and adult protection. The term of this agreement is from January 1, 1999, through December 31, 1999. Commissioner Baxter moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously. 990063 ,Q/IKl4�I, // � BC0016 CONSIDER CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - CHILD ADVOCACY RESOURCES AND EDUCATION, INC.: Ms. Griego stated under this agreement Child Advocacy Resource and Education, Inc., (CARE) will provide Parent Education, Community Education, Children's Family Education Classes, and Prevention through Children's Programs. For these services, the Department of Social Services will reimburse CARE a maximum amount of$44,000. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Geile, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
