Dear Commissioners:
We recently received notification that we had been approved for an Energy Impact Grant from
the Colorado State Division of Local Affairs. The grant request was a portion of the cost for a
new chassis for our Hazardous Materials Response vehicle; our Authority had approved
matching funds.
As you know, we respond County-wide to hazardous materials incidents and the addition of this
equipment will insure that our arrival at the scene is prompt and safe.
We know that representatives of your Commission and of County Government rendered valuable
assistance in our request process. We sincerely thank you for your help and know that we will
mutually benefit from this improvement in public safety.
