Home My WebLink About962016.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON WELD COUNTY ROAD 27.5 FROM WELD COUNTY ROAD 54 TO STATE HIGHWAY 60 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the Board that speed limit signs be installed on Weld County Road 27.5 from Weld County Road 54 to State Highway 60, to ensure safety to the traveling public, specifically as follows: 1. 55 MPH SPEED LIMIT- On Weld County Road 27.5 from approximately 700 feet north the intersection of Weld County Road 394 north to Weld County Road 54. 2. 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT - On Weld County Road 27.5 from approximately 700 feet north the intersection of Weld County Road 394 south to State Highway 60. 3. REDUCTION IN SPEED - On Weld County Road 27.5 northbound approaching the stop sign at the WCR 52 intersection. WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary for the protection of the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to install, as described above, 55 MPH SPEED LIMIT, 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT, and REDUCTION IN SPEED signs on Weld County Road 27.5 from Weld County Road 54 to State Highway 60, for the safety of the general public, and said signs shall conform to the State manual and specifications. 962016 dam.' I recommend these changes be made according to the attached diagrams to protect the safety of the traveling public.
