Subject: Double I Pet Ranch
Dear Mr. Holt:
Thank you for your response letter regarding the non-compliance with Amended Special Use Permit -
685 for Double J Pet Ranch. ,In your letter,it was indicated that a modular unit,used strictly as an
office,was moved onto the site sometime this year. The Department of Planning Services reviewed
this modification to the Amended Special Use Permit and determined that as long as the office shown
in the existing house on the Amended Special Use Permit map was no longer utilized as an office,the
addition of the modular unit as an office would not be deemed a substantial change to the Special Use
Permit. The unit will need to acquire the appropriate building permits.
Another aspect ofthe non-compliance ofAmended Special Use Permit 685 is the issue of dogs being
left in outdoor runs after 9:00 pa Development Standard 5 on the permit requires that all dogs and
cats on the property can only be allowed in outdoor runs between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00
p.m IfDouble I Pet Ranch would hie to change this Development Standards, an amendment to the
permit is necessary. If an amendment is not obtained and the non-compliance with this Development
Standard continues,the Department will schedule a Probable Cause/Show Cause Hearing before the
Board of County Commissioners to pursue revoking the existing permit,AMUSR 685.
