TO CANCEL TAX SALE CERTIFICATE #699:
WHEREAS, the County Treasurer, Charles 0. Bursiel, has requested
authorization to cancel tax sale certificate No. 699 of the 1937 tax sale
covering Coal Reserves only on the SKIT of Sec 31, Township 2, Range 67 for
the taxes of 1936 with subsequent taxes for 1937 to 1949 endorsed thereon and
Mineral Reserves on the W1EZSWt of Section 30, Township 2, Range 67, Wolff
Gardens for the 1936 taxes with subsequent taxes of 1937 to 1964 taxes endorsed
thereon, and
WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interest of the
County to cancel that part of said tax sale certificate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado that the County Treasurer, Charles 0. Bursiel, be and
he is hereby authorized to cancel that part of County Certificate No. 699 of the
1937 tax sale covering Coal Reserves only on the SWI of Section 31, Township 2,
Range 67 for the taxes of 1936 with subsequent taxes for 1937 to 1949 endorsed
thereon and Mineral Reserves only on the WZEZSWt of Section 30, Township 2, Range 67
Wolff Gardens for the 1936 taxes with subsequent taxes of 1937 to 1964 taxes
endoresed thereon.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote:

Coal Reserves only were assessed in 1936 on SW1/4: Sec 31 T2
R67 and Mineral Reserves only on W1/2E1/2SW1/4: Sec 30 T2 R67
Wolff Gardens, taxes not being paid, both descriptions went to
tax sale in 1937 and County Certificate No. 699 was issued for
taxes of 1936. Subsequently the taxes on the SvJl/4: Sec 31 T2
R67 were endorsed for the years 1937 to 1949 inclusive and subsequent
taxes on Wl/2E1/2SW1/4: Sec 30 T2 R67 Wolff Gardens were endorsed
for the years 1937 to 1964 inclusive.
F. H. Canis, State Mining Engineer who makes Coal assessments
for the County Assessor reported February 15, 1965 "Coal unassessable
and cancellation of this tax sale certificate recommended." Coal
Company has relinquished all mineral rights on this description.
I would like a resolution authorizing County Treasurer to
cancel that part of County Certificate No. 699 of the 1937 tax sale
covering Coal Reserves only on SW1/4: Sec 31 T2 R67 for the taxes of
1936 with subsequent taxes for 1937 to 1949 endorsed thereon and
Mineral Reserves only Wl/2E1/2SW1/4: Sec 30 T2 R67 Wolff Gardens
for the 1936 taxes with subsequeriFt taxes of 1937 to 1964 taxes
endorsed thereon.
