JO SIGN COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
REGARDING PROJECTS 0024(17)
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that they hereby approve a certain agreement with the
State Highway Commission of Colorado, a public corporation, for the use
and benefit of the Department of Highways of the State of Colorado,
dated July 17, , 19 63, whereby the County has reviewed and ap-
proved the Geometric Standards designated to govern the construction
of a Federal Aid Secondary Project S 0024 (17) of improvements
approximately 8.534 miles long, beginning at West end of Project S 0024
(1g) about 9.0 miles West of Briggsdale - Westerly on State Highway 14
as per terms of said Agreement on behalf of Weld County by signatures
of the. Board, as per attached Agreement, and made a part of this resolution.

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 17th day of July 1963,
by and between the County of Weld party of the first part, and THE STATE
HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation for the use and benefit of
the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, The Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construction of, a project known as Project S 0024(17)
approximately 8.534 miles long, beginning at West end of Project S 0024(15)
about 9.0 Miles W of Briggsdale - Westerly
on State Highway No. 14 in the County and -'
WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary
System,
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the
Parties have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of
construction for said Project and have agreed as follows:
That, the 1963 Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found
to be 780 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and
established practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
1795 vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
designated as Type C of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952, more
fully described as follows:
The surface shall consist of Plant Mixed Asphalt , 39 11 feet
wide on a roadway 30 1 feet wide. The maximum grade shall be 4.5 percent
and the curvature shall not exceed 2 degrees and 0 minutes. The rights of

This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf

attached hereto.
