Contractorl'shal l commence the work not later (City or town) than 2c, 96-7 and shall complete the work covered by this contract not (date, , x y /�)' later than CLt� (date) It is agreed that the Contractor shall have full and exclusive judgment and discretion as to the means and methods to be employed in the accomplishment of this job, and the Railroad Company shall have no right whatsoever to control or supervise such means and methods; the Contractor shall have full and sole authority to hire, control and discharge any and all necessary assistants. The Contractor shall burnish all tools and equipment needed in the per- formance of the contract at his sole cost and expense. The Contractor agrees to abide by, and prosecute the work under this con- tract in full compliance with, any and all federal, state, local and municipal statutes, laws, orders and ordinances; more specifically, but not to the exclu- sion of any others, Contractor expressly agrees to maintain a scale of wages high enough to comply with the minimum requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, to indemnify the Railroad Company and to hold it harmless from any and all claims or suits filed thereunder. It is further agreed that the Contractor shall indemnify and save harm- less the Railroad Company from all loss, claims, costs, and expenses resulting from damage to or destruction of any property, or injury to or death of any person or persons/including the parties hereto and their employees, in any manner arising from or growing out of the above mentioned work.
