Dear Chairman Webster,
It is unfortunate that you were unable to attend the presentation on August 25,
1997, to introduce our new TCI Digital Cable Service. Enclosed is the information
intended for the presentation.
By upgrading the system with the introduction of TCI Digital Cable Service we
will surpass our franchise commitment to increase video channels to a 76 channel
capacity. Plus, since Digital Cable is an optional service, only customers who want the
additional channels pay for the service.
On October 1, Digital Cable Service will be available in your community.
Enclosed is line-up of the current analog channels and the new Digital Cable service
which will provide an additional 40 channels of quality programming and 10 digital
music channels.

In addition, on November 18th we will move Disney (currently a Premium
Service) to the Expanded Basic Service and add 4 new channels bringing the number of
channels available to our customers to 92...add on Digital Music Express for a grand total
of 102 channels!
