An inspection on March 18, 1969 found that the following cleanup items were satis- factorily completed: 1. Paint beacon and junction box and top of beacon tower (zinc oxide prime coat and aviation orange). 2. Provide seal filler around floor slab for electrical equip- ment house as shown on plans. 3. Lower and smooth dirt mounded around runway light fixtures. Enclosed are four copies of FAA forms 1629 and 1629a. These forms have the description of each item, quantities installed, unit prices and their extended amounts. The total contract amount for Schedule A is $30,016.19; the total for Schedule B (part with no federal participa- tion) is $631.25 and the total value of the work performed is $30,647.44. Of this amount, previous payments to the Contractor totalling Reynolds27,2.70 have been made. Three bids for the project were opened by Mr. buss ana declared to be valid by Mr. Colwell. The results are indicated in the bid tabulation and 'in the unitprice tabulation .attached to his letter. The apparent low bidder wna announced to be Reynolds bloctric Company with a total Did price of $31,042.71. the bid price for Schedule A, which will in- clude Federal participation, was $30,461.96. The Engineer's estimate for Schedule A was $27,381, or $3,080.96 less than the actual !yid price. This amountcan be totally accounted for in the hid price for trending, which was eve:three times that esti- mated by the I:na i neer.
