RE: APPROVE REAPPOINTMENTS AND APPOINTMENTS TO WELD COUNTY LONG
TERM CARE BIO-ETHICS COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Weld County Long Term Care Bio-Ethics
Committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Elmer Burkhard, Karen Kline, Mary Russell,
and Roxanna Smock be reappointed to said committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Laura Neuschwanger, Milbern Goetz, and
Sue Sabas, be appointed to said committee to replace Kaylynn Duvall, Doyle Karst, and John
Henderson, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Julie Holt and Arthur Hess be appointed as
additional members, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Rebecca Travis be appointed to replace
Malina King in the standing Social Services Adult Protection Services case manager position,
and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint Elmer Burkhard, Karen Kline,
Mary Russell, and Roxanna Smock to said committee, with their terms to expire January 1,
2000, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Laura Neuschwanger, Milbern
Goetz, Sue Sabas, Julie Holt, and Arthur Hess to said committee, with their terms to expire
January 1, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Rebecca Travis to said committee,
with no term expiration date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Elmer Burkhard, Karen Kline, Mary Russell, and Roxanna Smock
be, and hereby are, reappointed to the Weld County Long Term Care Bio-Ethics Committee,
with their terms to expire January 1, 2000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Laura Neuschwanger, Milbern Goetz,
Sue Sabas, Julie Holt, and Arthur Hess be, and hereby are, appointed to said committee, with
their terms to expire January 1, 2000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Rebecca Travis be, and hereby is,
appointed to said committee, with no term expiration date.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 20th day of January, A.D., 1997.
