NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, acting as the Board of Equalization, that the evidence presented at the hearing fully supported the value placed upon the property by the petitioner. Tax Year: 1999 Tax Area: 0305 Parcel No.: 1473050000011 Account No.: P0002002 We had an increase of$22,588 from tax year 1998 to tax year 1999 in our personal property assessment. During 1998 we purchased the following equipment: Scale Display for the Feed Mill (100%agricultural use) $979 2 HP sprinkler pump(100%agricultural use) SAM Total Equipment Purchases $1555 According to the State of Colorado statutes, 100%agricultural use equipment is exempt from personal property tax. Hudson Pullet Farm raises layer pullet chicks only. Hudson Pullet Farm's feed mill mixes feed only for the pullets it is growing. All of the equipment used in the pullet houses and at the feed mill are used 100%of the time for agricultural activity. The office of the Weld County Assessor has apparently reclassified equipment on our asset list that was submitted with this years Personal Property Declaration. I have included the asset list that was provided with the submission of that report. The assets are sorted by type of equipment-ag equip, computer, electronic, equipment& furniture- land, licensed vehicles and real property. We do not understand how our Personal Property Valuation could have increased 445%when we have not added any non agricultural equipment in the past 12 months.
