HEREFORD PEST CONTROL DISTRICT:
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 6, Article 5, Colorado
Revised Statutes, 1963, for the control of Canada Thistle and Bindweed, the Board
of County Commissioners caused a ballot to be mailed to landowners in a given
area requesting the establishment of the Grover -Hereford Pest Control District;
and
WHEREAS, the ballots represented more than fifty percent (50%) of the
land, 84 votes cast in favor of this district and 48 votes against; and
WHEREAS, this does not represent sixty-six and two-thirds (66 2/3)
votes cast in favor of the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that the proposed establishment of the Grover -Hereford
Pest Control District be and the same is hereby denied.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote:

The ballots for voting on the Grover -Hereford Pest Control
District have been counted by the counting board. The results are
as follows:
The Grover -Hereford Pest Control District voted 84 in favor
and 48 opposed.
The counting board finds the above ballot to be true and
accruate.

Dear Sirs:
The ballots for voting the Grover -Hereford Pest Control Dis-
trict are hereby presented to the Board of County Commissioners.
The total acreage in the proposed district is 444,160 acres
with 103,492 acres deleted for balloting purpose because of federal
and state lands. This leaves 340,668 acres that can be voted. There
were 172,401 acres balloted which is over the 50% of the acres neces-
sary.
There were 84 votes cast in favor of this district and 48 votes
against. This does not represent 66 2/3 votes cast in favor of the
district. Therefore, this district cannot be formed.
