RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT AND REAPPOINTMENT TO COMMUNITY
CORRECTIONS BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Community Corrections Board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Juan Lopez be appointed to said board as
an at-large representative, to replace Kathy Dean, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Michael Guthrie be reappointed to said
board as the law enforcement representative, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Juan Lopez and reappoint Michael
Guthrie to said board, with their terms to expire August 1, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Juan Lopez be, and hereby is appointed to the Community
Corrections Board, with his term to expire August 1, 2002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Michael Guthrie be, and hereby is reappointed to the Community Corrections
Board, with his term to expire August 1, 2002.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 4th day of October, A.D., 1999.
