RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO NORTHWEST PARKWAY PUBLIC HIGHWAY
AUTHORITY BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 43-4-501, et seq., C.R.S., the Board of County
Commissioners has joined with the Cities of Broomfield and Lafayette to create the Northwest
Parkway Public Highway Authority, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer be
appointed as director to represent the Board of County Commissioners on the said board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Commissioner Glenn Vaad be appointed as
the alternate director, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Commissioner Barbara K.irkmeyer
as a director and Commissioner Glenn Vaad as an alternate on said Northwest Parkway Public
Highway Authority Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer be, and hereby is, appointed as
director to the Northwest Parkway Public Highway Authority Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Commissioner Glenn Vaad be, and
hereby is, appointed as the alternate director.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 2nd day of June, A.D., 1999.
