• SUBJECT: Placement of stop signs at WCR 76 and WCR 135
COLORADO
A traffic study has been completed at the intersection of WCR 76 and WCR 135 and shows there
are sufficient warrants for the placement of stop signs.
The warrants are:
1. Intersection of a less important road with a main road where application of the normal
right-of-way rule is unduly hazardous.
Sight distance is restricted from two directions.
2. Street entering a through highway or street.
3. Unsignalized intersection in a signalized area.
4. Other intersections where a combination of high speed. restricted view, and serious
accident record indicates a need for control by a stop sign.
The intersection of WCR 76 and WCR 135 meets warrants number one and number four (see
attached diagram). Current traffic volumes dictate the need to stop traffic on WCR 135 at WCR
76. Through traffic will be maintained for WCR 76.
