RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF EL POMAR YOUTH IN COMMUNITY SERVICES
GRANT AWARD AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an acceptance of El Pomar Youth in
Community Services Grant Award between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County
Health Department, and Greeley West Peer Helpers, Greeley West High School, with terms
and conditions being as stated in said grant, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said grant, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the acceptance of El Pomar Youth in Community Services Grant
Award between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Health Department, and Greeley
West Peer Helpers, Greeley West High School, be, and hereby is, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said grant.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of April, A.D., 1998.

for us to complete the paperwork and give you a check. If all of the following guidelines are met,
you will receive a check April 16, 1998 at 6:00 in the Greeley West High School library. The El
Pomar Grant Foundation will be sending you a formal invitation regarding April 16.
Thank you for participating in this wonderfid learning experience. The Greeley West Peer
Helpers are always eager to work with the many organizations that improve our community. We

SUBJECT: El Pomar Youth in Community Services
Grant award
Enclosed for Board review is an award letter from the Greeley West Peer Helper organization.
The award will allow us to purchase educational materials to be used in conjunction with our
teen pregnancy prevention project. The award will also allow us to purchase incentives to be
used for those accessing the services, as well as for the peer educators who are dedicating their
time to helping us reduce the number of unintended teen pregnancies.
For these services, the Health Department will receive a check in the amount of$500.00.
