to Whom It May Concern:
I would like to thank you in advance for helping change the licensed day care rules
pertaining to lap-over, drop-in, and emergency children. I have been a daycare provider
for over 29 year. and licensed for the last eight years. In the past two years I have asked
as many providers as possible about their ideas on this new procedure. I have found the
response to be the same. We are not interested in taking on new children. We arc
interest in begin legal if an emergency situation arrives.
There are always situations for our parents when they have emergencies and cannot be
exactly on time. I do not want the children to suffer, and be introduced to a new provider
for short periods of time when I could keep them in a familiar and normal environment.
I wish we could all come down to the hearing and assure the large day care centers that
we will not take away from their children. We are the little guys, doing our best to take
care of our children and assure peace of mind for our parents.
If there are any other questions or concerns l could share with you, please feel free to call
me directly at (303)-450-9562. Your consideration in this situation would be appreciated.
Sincerely.
