HomeMy WebLinkAbout952398.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE TWO LETTERS OF TRANSITION FOR WELD COUNTY CORRECTIONAL AND COMMISSARY WITH SERVICE AMERICA CORPORATION/THE WACKENHUT CORPORATION AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with two Letters of Transition for the Weld County Correctional and the Weld County Commissary between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriff's Office, and Service America Corporation/The Wackenhut Corporation, with terms and conditions being as stated in said letters, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said letters, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the two Letters of Transition for the Weld County Correctional and the Weld County Commissary between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriffs Office, and Service America Corporation/The Wackenhut Corporation be, and hereby are, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said letters. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 4th day of December, A.D., 1995. Meanwhile, on a day to day basis, the current staff at your facility, including your manager, will continue to provide the high quality service they are currently providing.
