HomeMy WebLinkAbout690243.tiffACCEPT BID FOR RECONSTRUCTION COUNTY BRIDGES #225 AND #302 FAST CONSTRUCTION COMPANY: WHEREAS, sealed bids dated August 1, 1969, addressed to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, for the reconstruction of two flood destroyed County Bridges, namely, #225 and #302, in accordance with drawings and specifications as prepared by the Eagle Engineering Company, were received and publicly opened; and WHEREAS, the Fast Construction Company of Strasburg, Colorado, did submit the best and lowest bid for the reconstruction of said bridges as follows; to -wit: #225 $42,742.00 #302 40.017.30 Total 82,759.30 and WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interests of the County to accept the aforementioned bid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the bid submitted by the Fast Construction Company for the reconstruction of two County Bridges, #225 and #302, in the amount of $82,759.30, be and the same is hereby accepted, a copy of said bid is attached and made a part of this resolution. August 1, 1969, for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of Two Bridges, located in Weld County; at which time at the County Commissioners office in Greely, Colorado, all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Principal work includes: Item 225 Steel Pile prestressed twin tee and deck bridge, 120' long by 28' wide with guard rail, 3360 sq. ft. deck area with approximately 1320 lin. ft. of steel piling. Item 302 steel pile prestressed twin tee with 6" poured in place deck bridge, 100' long by 30' wide with guard rail, 3000 sq. ft. of deck area and approx. 1330 lin. ft. of steel piling. Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from the Engineer, Eagle Engineering Co., Inc., 2200 West Chenango, Littleton, Colorado, 80120. Each bidder shall submit with his bid a certified check or an acceptable bidder's bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of his bid, made payable unconditionally to the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, as a guaranty that he will enter into a contract, should he be the successful bidder. The right is re- served by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities therein.
