Senator William L . Clayton, Hons.. F. P . Frost , J M B Petrikin, Isidore Rothschild and numerous others , a committee representing the interests of The Greeley Commercial Club appeared Wore the Board and prevailed upon them to make an . appropriation of *500 . 00 to be used by said club in advertising the resources of Weld county as well as to help guarantee the expense or keeper a permanent secretary whose duty it will be to have at band ready and accurate data of said resources to give to all callers and inquirers, local and '4 - s lent, whenever they may present themselves . After listening to oral argument by several members of the club in support of their request and giving them due consideration, the Board were unanimous in the opinion that by makinG such an appropriation it would not be of immediate benefit to any of the tax payers of the county and that . the the county would not be justified in granting the request on account of there being no pro- 13 vision of law whereby they could legally grant said appropriation; Therefore it was on motion ordered - ? , for reasons above noted, that their request be and is hereby disallowed.
