RE: APPROVE TRANSFER OF BUILDING TO UNITED WAY OF WELD COUNTY AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN DEED
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado ("County"),
pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the
authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, County and United Way of Weld County ("United Way"), a Colorado non-
profit corporation, entered into a lease dated September 26, 1991, wherein the parties agreed
that United Way would lease a building owned by County, located at 814 Ninth Street, and had
the option to purchase the same at the end of the ten-year lease period (January 1, 2002), and
WHEREAS, United Way has paid all of the rent due and payable and has paid the
option price of One Dollar ($1.00) to County, and
WHEREAS, parties now desire to accelerate the remainder of the ten-year time period,
such that United Way may now exercise said option and the County will transfer the ownership
of the building to United Way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that pursuant to its lease purchase agreement with United Way, United
Way has paid the entire amount of the lease and the County hereby accelerates the ten-year
lease time period; that the County hereby acknowledges United Way's exercise of its option to
purchase the building located at 814 Ninth Street, Greeley, Colorado, commonly known as
"Pinion Plaza"; and that the lease be, and hereby is, terminated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that ownership of said building and the
property on which its sits shall be transferred to United Way, and the Chair be, and hereby is,
authorized to sign the proper deed.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of February, A.D., 1997.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THIS DEED is made this 1st day of February, 1997, between Weld County. Colorado, a body
politic and corporate of the State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, of the first part, and to United Way of Weld County, a Colorado non-
profit corporation, whose address is 814 Ninth Street, Greeley, Colorado. of the second part.
WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of
One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration, to the said party of the first part in
hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and
acknowledged, has remised, released, sold, conveyed and QUIT CLAIMED, and by these presents
does remise, release, sell, convey and QUIT CLAIM unto the said party of the second part, its heirs,
successors and assigns, forever, all the right, title, interest, claim and demand which the said party
of the first part has in and to the following described lots or parcels of land situate, lying and being
in the County of Weld and State of Colorado, to wit:
Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9), in Block Sixty-four (64), EXCEPT the
South Thirty feet (S 30') thereof, City of Greeley, County of Weld,
State of Colorado, according to the recorded map or plat thereof;
situated in Greeley, Weld County, State of Colorado.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all and singular the appurtenances and
privileges thereunto belonging or in anywise thereunto appertaining, and all the estate, right, title,
interest and claim whatsoever, of the said party of the first part, either in law or equity, to the only
proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part, heirs and assigns forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said party of the first part has hereunto set its hand and seal
the day and year first above written.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, George E. Baxter, Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners of said County of Weld, State of Colorado, on behalf of said County and by virtue
of the Order contained in the Resolution made by said Board of County Commissioners on the
3rd day of February, 1997, have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said County this 3rd
day of February, 1997, nunc pro tunc February 1, 1997, for the uses and purposes therein set forth.
