COLORADO• SUBJECT: Placement of Stop Signs at Camfield Site,
WCR 51 at WCR 80
John Carlson, through a complaint, requested the Board consider approving the"stop"sign
installation at the following intersections: Boulevard B, Main Street, and Boulevard D.
WCR 51 will remain the "through" road.
The Camfield site is in the process of being developed. Currently there are approximately
12 residents using the accesses from this development.
It has been recommended by the County Attorney's office to protect the safety of the
traveling public by installing "stop" signs on the main accesses onto WCR 51 from the
Camfield site.
I recommend these change be made according to the attached diagrams to protect the
safety of the traveling public. All signing will conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic
Control Devices.

O SUBJECT: Placement of Stop Signs at Camfield
COLORADO
I spoke with Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, regarding the two access points from WCR
51 to the Camfield Site that are utilized by multiple lots. These are public dedicated rights-of-way
that are considered private lane accesses and are not maintained by Weld County. As a safety
precaution, Lee recommends that stop signs be placed at both accesses. He stated that the State
requires stop signs at all county crossroads but they maintain the signs. In this situation, the County
has jurisdiction over WCR 51 and controls public access from the Camfield site.
