The Board having carefully considered the report of the viewers herein,es well as the objections made thereto,and finding the report correct as to
• form,and believing the public good requires the laying out of the road as recommended by the viewers,it was on motion ordered that the report be approved
and adopted,and the road therein described and recommended by the viewers be and is hereby declared a public highway. The Clerk is directed to record
the report,plat the road,draw warrants in favor of parties for damages awarded,and cause notices to be posted of opening of said road,and notify the
Road Overseer of proper District to open the same to travel in sixty days as required by law.

To the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of _Weld_ County, Colorado:
GENTLEMEN:
Your Viewers appointed on the 8th _ day of June
19 lato view a County Road prayed for in a certain petition presented to your honorable body on the above named day and
date, a copy of which has been received by us, viz: Commencing at the South last-corner of Sec. 35
Town 10 N. Range 64 W. and running due north for eight miles- to the
North east corner of Sec. 26, T. 11 N. Range 64 W. thereby connecting
the already laid out county wagon road running east and west to the
first corner described, with the already laid Slit county wagon road
running east and west at the ending of this road, the second corner
described.
Respectfully submit the following report, to-wit: After receiving our authority to act, we met at the starting point of said pro-
posed road, on the 18th day of. June 1918 at the hour of_ 11_ o'clock
A.M., being the time and place specified in our appointment, and proceeded to view the road prayed for in said petition, as
follows: We commenced at the starting point named in said petition, and run_ from the South last.
corner of Sec. 36 Town 10 N. Range 64 W. and running due north for eight
miles to the North east corner of Sec. 26, T. 11 N. Range 64 W. thereby
connecting the already laid out county wagon road running east and west
to the first corner described, with the already laid out county wagon
road running east and west at the ending of this road, the second
corner described.

the last named point being the terminus thereof, and the road as above laid out and viewed being over the most practicable route
which we, in our judgment, can.find. We found it necessary to make the following changes in the proposed route as prayed for,
viz: We, the viewers herein, recommend that the line of road prayed for in
said petition be granted; we further recommend that where said road enters
the lands owned by John F. Vivian, that automobile gates or cattle guards
be constructed and that wagon road gates be erected at one side of the said
automobile cattle guards. The said automobile and wagon road gates to be
constructed at the expense of the said John F. Vivian and to be maintained
only until such a time when the public traffic becomes of such importance
that the maintenance thereof becomes objectionable to public travel, when
they shall be removed upon request of the Board of County Commissioners.
The expense of removal thereof to be borne entirely by the said John F.
Vivian. We further recommend that the County be to no expense for the con-
struction of any fences along any part of the said proposed road nor for
the construction of any bridges along said line of ruad.The said John F. Vivian was present with the viewers herein this day

that the hour of viewing is set at 11 o 'clock A. M. on the

My dear)Rowe:
I have yours of June 7th, and note
that some of the people in the vicinity of my
property west of Grover are complaining because
the road running in front of Miss Anna King' s
place has not yet been opened.
I beg to state, in reply, that the
fence adjoining Miss King' s has been down ever
since the `Board of Commissioners viewed the
road, but the gate has been kept up at the
north end of the tract, principally for the
reason that there has been no travel over that
road, and partly because we have not had the
opportunity until this last week to put in the
automobile gate. I came from the ranch Saturday
evening and found this gate was already in and
undoubtedly the other gate will be in tonight,
as I ordered my force to go at it this morning.
Frankly, I would be willing to wager
a hundred dollars that there have not been fifteen
machines or teams clear through on that road since
you folks viewed it. However, that is neither
here nor there, excepting to show to you that
there is no general need for the road, as I
intimated at the time you were there. However,
by the time you receive this letter, the automobile
gates will be installed and I trust there will be
no further complaint.

Dear miss King,
lour two letters in regard to a county road in Weld So .
have been awaiting my arrival from INebr. where I have been since Mar. 19.
In reply will say that I have no objection to a road on
the line you name and would be willing to give the right of way; but I have
already built a fence on the east side of 35 and also on the west side of
sec. 1 and I would want the fence moved if there was any moving to be done.
Furthermore the lines in the vicinity of sec.l at least are
in dispute and from information from the surveyors-generals office I am
certain that a court survey of that couitry will be the only way of settling
the matter permanently. I would be in fnvor of this survey so that the lines
can be settled for good and I doubt the wisdom of establishing a county road
thru there until this is done.

Gentlemen:
I have been advised that a petition is being
circulated and will soon be filed with your Board asking
that a County road be opened up between Sections 13 and
14, 11 and 12 , and 1 and 2, Twp. 10 N. Range 64 W.
I desire to protest against the opening up of this
road principally because there is no traffic of any kind that
warrants the opening of such road.
Secondly, because there is already a similar road going
North and South opening in front of the Sayler place and two
miles West.
Third, because it divides my pasture and should the
road go through would leave part of the pasture without any
water.
I will appreciate it if your Honorable Board will
allow me to appear before you before you take any favorable
action upon this road.
