RE: WELD ROAD 21 BETWEEN ROAD 2 & 6 Dear Frank, Referencing Dale Hall's letter of March 29, 1999.....our"problems"with this stretch of road. I have been loading excess road-base from the barrow pit....hauling it to the black-top edge of Roads 2& 21 total-in 6"deep holes which the blade man evidently is unable to take care of. This 1/4 mile"end"is absolute hard-pan,low in the center and low to the drive-ways off it. PLEASE.....SEND US SOME ROAD BASE!! Marcus is using their land leveler to smooth the"bushel" of road base on end of Road 21 at Road 2....this is the end you've not been maintaining. It's been so terrible that people(we)are now driving on the shoulders! With daily 30-40 80,000 pound semi-trucks and the 50-60 pickups and cars(Rule Feed Lot plus others using their scales)each day using this 2-mile stretch of road....it's just"hours"after the blade has passed that the deep rats and extreme wash-board re-appears. Why is it that the mile of"very light"(residential)section of Road 21 between Roads 6& 8, warratlts black-top while this extreme use section to the South is gravel and gets minimal attention? Why is It that "we"have to maintain the road.....is this a do-it-yourself section? The answer? Black top! How about a speed limit of 40 MPH for cars-30 MPH for truckse....how about a stronger center crown....how about"cutting" the ruts out and starting over...ihow about a anon frequent blade schedule? Appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. cc: Carroll Marcus t Rule Feed Lot Brad Carrillo Bruce Sparrow Arnold Grenemyer Dale K.Han,Chairman Barbara Kirkmeyer,Commissioner egflind29 991034 min J99 GB MG DH BK GV BOARD ACTION: (Initial by Approval) Agree-wIttrRucammenctatton 046-4 Art Worksession g ✓ 2 / ✓' Hello
