Regarding the list of protests, Mr. Lasell reported the Assessor's Office received appeals for 4,625 parcels, and approximately 35 to 40 appeals have been received to be heard by the Board of Equalization. Regarding the preliminary abstract, Mr. Lasell reported the total assessed value for 1995 is $675,225,530, which is a 10.3 percent increase over 1994. He stated residential value has increased 11.6 percent, commercial value has increased 8.7 percent, industrial value has increased 15.2 percent, and agricultural value has increased 6.9 percent over 1994. Mr. Lasell noted the preliminary abstract does not include oil and gas or state -assessed values. The Board of Equalization recessed until 8:30 a.m. on July 27, 1995. He said there were 4,625 parcels appealed, which is less than six percent of the property owners in Weld County.
