RE: RATIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT AND REAPPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF
TRUSTEES FOR THE WELD LIBRARY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld Library District has been created by action of six municipalities,
Weld County School District RE-8, and the County of Weld, all of the State of Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to CRS, Section 24-90-110(4)(a), the selection committee for the
Weld Library District Board of Trustees has been appointed and has recommended the
following persons for appointment and reappointment to the Weld Library District Board of
Trustees:
Margery F. Curtiss, to serve a term of five years -
term to expire December 31, 2001
Daniel A. Templeton, to serve a second term of five
years -term to expire December 31, 2001
WHEREAS, these persons appear to be qualified to serve as a member of the Board of
Trustees and represent adequately the various interests within the Weld Library District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the appointment of Margery F. Curtiss and reappointment of
Daniel A. Templeton to the Weld Library District Board of Trustees be, and hereby is, ratified.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 4th day of November, A.D., 1996.

Dear Commissioner Kirk meyer:

In accordance with the state law a Nominating Committee, composed of two members from
each creating jurisdiction, must select library district board members and then each jurisdiction
must ratify the selection by resolution. The Nominating Committee for Weld Library District
met on October 21, 1996, and selected the following persons:
Daniel A. 'Templeton, to serve a second term of five years. Term to expire
December 31, 2001.
Margery F. Curtiss, to serve a term of five years. 'term to expire December 31, 2001.
Since it is necessary for all member jurisdictions to ratify the nomination of the committee a
sample resolution for your municipality is provided. You are encouraged to consider the
resolution as soon as possible so the Library District is not without full representation on the
Board. Our next regular meeting is November 18, 1996. A copy of your resolution should be
sent to me at the District Office, 2227 23'"Avenue, once acted upon by your Board.
