Eisenhower, President Richard Nixon issued a proclamation designating Monday, March 31, 1969, a National Day of Mourning; and WHEREAS, Governor John A. Love of the State of Colorado made a similar proclamation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that due to the death of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, it does hereby proclaim Monday, March 31, 1969, a Day of Mourning; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the flag shall be lowered to half mast for a period of thirty days, ending April 28, 1969.
