Home My WebLink About972039.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO SEPTEMBER 22, 1997 TAPE #97- 24 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, September 22, 1997, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem Commissioner Dale K. Hall Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick MINUTES: Commissioner Webster moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of August 25, 1997, as printed. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. BUSINESS: NEW: CONSIDER SECTION 8 UTILITY ALLOWANCE SCHEDULES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Jim Sheehan, Housing Authority, stated HUD requires Updated Section 8 Utility Allowance Schedules based on rates currently in use. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve said schedules and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Harbert, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT: Mr. Sheehan stated the Board entered into an agreement with the Department of Local Affairs in which $105,600 was received for the Home Ownership Down Payment Assistance Program. Of that amount $97,200 is available for actual down payment assistance and $8,400 was budgeted for administration. The High Plains Housing Development Incorporation is now being contracted to provide ec: (5s) N09 972039 BC0016 the administration of said program. Commissioner Hall moved to approve said agreement. The motion, which was seconded by Commissioner Kirkmeyer, carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
