Dear Mr. Baxter:
Enclosed is a copy of a letter which we have sent to our customers. As our operating
expenses continue to rise, we make every attempt to absorb those expenses for as long as we can.
Programming costs continually increase. For example, our ESPN fees alone have been raised by
more than 20% per subscriber this year.
Therefore, January 1, 2000 the new basic rate for cable service in the County of Weld
will be $30.95. We recognize the need to offer quality entertainment at a reasonable price, and
continually strive to reach that goal; therefore, at the same time as the rate adjustment, we will
begin providing the following additional channels: ESPN2 and The Learning Channel.

service and entertainment,we must adjust our rates to account for increases in our
operating costs and in the increased cost of programming provided to you.
We recognize the need to balance price with value. Even as our costs go up, we strive
to provide the best value to you and the entire community we serve. Galaxy Cablevision
will continue to provide our quality service at a competitive rate. Please refer to the
front of your bill for specific rate information.
Cable is the only entertainment medium that constantly improves it value by bringing
you more and better programming. Every year cable programming receives more and
more industry awards. Compare your monthly bill to other entertainment options - you
