RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO FAMILIES, YOUTH AND CHILDREN COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the following individuals are those members who were serving in good
standing on the Placement Alternatives Commission (PAC) until the function of the PAC was
absorbed into the now Families, Youth and Children Commission, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Daniel Farenholtz, Mike Hoover, LeAnn
Reid, Susan Ruth, Esteban Salazar, and Elizabeth Wirick be appointed to said board as
existing members, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Charles Anderson, Jeffry Figgs, John
Gomez, and John Michaels be appointed to said board as new members, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Gilbert Guiterrez be appointed to said board
as a community representative, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Mike Hoover, Susan Ruth, Charles
Anderson, and Gilbert Guiterrez, with their terms to expire December 31, 1999; to appoint
LeAnn Reid, Elizabeth Wirick, and Jeffry Figgs, with their terms to expire December 31, 2000;
and to appoint Daniel Farenholtz, Esteban Salazar, John Gomez, and John Michaels with their
terms to expire December 31, 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Mike Hoover, Susan Ruth, Charles Anderson, and Gilbert
Guiterrez, be, and hereby are, appointed to the Families, Youth and Children Commission with
their terms to expire December 31, 1999.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that LeAnn Reid, Elizabeth Wirick, and
Jeffry Figgs be, and hereby are, appointed to the Families, Youth and Children Commission,
with their terms to expire December 31, 2000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Daniel Farenholtz, Esteban Salazar,
John Gomez, and John Michaels be, and hereby are, appointed to the Families, Youth and
Children Commission, with their terms to expire December 31, 2001.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of June, A.D., 1998.
