RESOLUTION 98-8
RE: APPROVE PARTICIPATION IN WELD COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
SYSTEM IMPACT FEE STUDY
WHEREAS, City of Dacono, a municipal corporation of the State of Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado statute, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of The City of
Dacono, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, have
requested that The City of Dacono, participate in a study to determine the impacts of
development upon the transportation system within a region of Weld County, in which The City
of Dacono, is located, and
WHEREAS, said study shall determine the necessity of and legal justification for the
collection of impact fees from development within the region under study, which impact fees
shall assist participating local governments in paying for improvements to the transportation
system made necessary by such development, and
WHEREAS, Weld County represents that the costs of said study shall be paid for by
Weld County, through a grant from the State of Colorado for the purpose of such a study, but
anticipates that staff of The City of Dacono may be required to spend time assisting in said study
to provide any necessary information regarding the transportation system of The City of Dacono
and its relationship to the transportation system of the region.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of The City of Dacono,
Colorado, that The City of Dacono shall participate in the Weld County Transportation System
Impact Fee Study and authorizes staff of The City of Dacono to assist in said Study to the extent
necessary.
