Home My WebLink About990455.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO MARCH 10, 1999 TAPE #99-08 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, March 10, 1999, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem Commissioner George E. Baxter Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick Director of Finance and Administration, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of March 8, 1999, as printed. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of$52,487.39. Commissioner Baxter moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Vaad seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. BUSINESS: NEW: CONSIDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - THE GREELEY TRANSITIONAL HOUSE, INC.: Judy Griego, Director of Social Services, explained general assistance funds are included in the budget to provide shelter to the homeless. Under this agreement the Greeley Transitional House will be reimbursed $13.75 per individual per night for shelter at a maximum of $17,267.00, and $327.00 per unit cost for case management services at a maximum of $5,091.00. In response to Chair Hall, Ms. Griego stated the new contractor took longer 990455 • CG., ,Q/rntp /7)10442 BC0016 compiling the information causing a delay in obtaining approval for the 1999 program year. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Geile, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -A WOMAN'S PLACE, INC.: Ms. Griego stated A Woman's Place will be reimbursed $13.75 per individual per night for shelter at a maximum of$11,692.00, and $327.00 per unit cost for case management services at a maximum of $7,460.00. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - CATHOLIC CHARITIES NORTHERN: Ms. Griego stated Catholic Charities Northern will be reimbursed $13.75 per individual per night for shelter at a maximum of $11,041.00, and $327.00 per unit cost for case management services at a maximum of $7,449.00. Commissioner Baxter moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
