RE: Victim Rights' Week Proclamation& Weld County Housing Waiting List/ Preference
Points
On behalf of the board, staff, and clients we serve, A Woman's Place, Inc. thanks you, the Weld
County Commissioners, for your approval of the revised Section 8 Waiting List and Program
Preferences. This is a very crucial issue for women and children leaving abusive relationships. We
have a very good working relationship with Weld County Housing Authority and the City of Greeley
Housing Authority. We are pleased that we can continue in the same manner in providing housing
resources to women enrolled in our county approved casemanagement program.
We thank you for your time in hearing our concerns and for the action you took on April 22, 1996 on
the Section 8 Program Preferences. Housing continues to be a critical issue in our county and across
the nation, unfortunately.
As a victim service agency serving Weld County, we thank you for the proclamation presented at
Lincoln Park on April 22, 1996 for Victim Rights' Week. We appreciate the validation and recognition
for providing victim services to address the violent issues in Weld County. Thank you for your
leadership and support.
May your lives and those of your loved ones be violent free.
