RE: CLARIFICATION OF TERMS FOR COMMISSIONER HALL AND COMMISSIONER
BAXTER ON AIRPORT AUTHORITY BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 6 of Weld County Ordinance Number 30-C states the following: "The
Term of each ... County Commissioner shall be four years, or until such time as he or she is no
longer a member of the ... Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, whichever is
sooner, except that the initial terms of ... one of the County Commissioners shall be two years,"
and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Hall and Commissioner Baxter were both appointed to the
Greeley -Weld Airport Authority Board on February 1, 1993, with Commissioner Hall's term being
two years from said date, and Commissioner Baxter's term being four years from said date, and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Hall's term on the Greeley -Weld Airport Authority Board expired
as of February 1, 1995; however, he has not been formally reappointed, and
WHEREAS, the Board now deems it desirable to reappoint Commissioner Hall to another
four-year term, beginning February 1, 1995, and continuing thereafter in accordance with the term
set forth in Section 6 of Weld County Ordinance Number 30-C.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Weld County Commissioner Dale Hall be, and hereby is, reappointed to the
Greeley -Weld Airport Authority Board, with said term beginning February 1, 1995, and continuing
thereafter in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 6 of Weld County Ordinance 30-C.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 26th day of July, A.D., 1995.
