DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MONFORT CHILDREN'S

A public hearing was conducted on June 23, 1997, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro -Tern
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated May 12, 1997, and duly published May 15, 1997,
in the South Weld Sun, a public hearing was conducted to obtain citizen input regarding a
Community Development Block Grant for construction of Monfort Children's Clinic. Don Warden,
Director of Finance and Administration, made this a matter of record and explained this is the
closeout hearing to determine how the responsibilities of the grant were handled by Weld County.
Mr. Warden noted the Monfort Children's Clinic is serving over 5,000 children per year and is a
great benefit to the community. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter. Mr.
Warden stated no action is necessary by the Board.

DOCKET NO. 97-28
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, will conduct a public
hearing at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, June 23, 1997, in the Chambers of the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First
Floor, Greeley, Colorado. The purpose of the hearing is to allow citizens to review and comment
on the performance of the County of Weld in carrying out the construction of the Monfort Children's
Clinic facility in Greeley, Colorado, which was financed with federal Community Development Block
Grant funds provided by the State of Colorado.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by June 23, 1997, in the office
of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, 915 10th Street, P.O. Box 758, Greeley,
Colorado 80631. Information and records regarding the above described project are available at
the office of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, located at 915 10th Street, Third
Floor, Greeley, Colorado, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Advance notice is
requested.
