RESOLUTION
RE: DECLARE CERTAIN TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS, AUTHORIZE SALE OF
SAME TO 1719 INTERNATIONAL, INC., AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Administrative Manual require that all items
disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
•
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a bid proposal from 1719 International, Inc.,
in Destin, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as a Rolm
Redwood Telephone System, being more fully described in said proposal which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a proposal from 1719 International, Inc., to
buy said equipment for and in consideration of the sum of$400.00, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and approve
said bid proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the bid proposal from 1719 International,
Inc., in the amount of$400.00 be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said bid proposal.

SUBJECT: Disposal of Telephone System
DATE: January 31, 1996
We have removed a Rolm Redwood Telephone System from the Buildings and Grounds facility.
The telephone system was purchased in December of 1990 for $5017. The system was removed
November, 1995. We have contacted 8 companies that sell and buy equipment. Only one
company is interested in buying the Redwood. The company is 1719 International
Telecommunications Equipment Remarketing in Destin, Florida.The bid is $400 and they will
pay the freight. I am requesting the Board's approval for selling the system.
