'REGARDING PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
• Cduhty, Colorado, that they hereby approve a certain agreement with the
State HighwayCommissionof Colorado, a public corporation, for the use
and benefit of the Department of Highways of the St to of Colorado,
dated August 16 , 19 61 , whereby the County has reviewed and ap-
proved the Geometric Standards designated to govern' the construction
of a Federal Aid Secondary Project S 0057 (3) of improvements
on State Highway No. 257, beginning at Jct SH 60 and SH 257 at Milliken,
Northerly
as per terms of said Agreement on behalf of Weld County by signatures
of the. Board, as per attached Agreement, and made a part of this resolution.

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 16thday of AUGUST 19 61
by and between the County of Weld party of the first part, and THE STATE
HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation for the use and benefit of
the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, The Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construction of, a project known as Project S 0057(3)
approximately 5.356 miles long, beginning at Jot SH 60 and SH 257
at Milliken - Northerly on State Highway No. 257 in the
County, and
WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary
System,
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the
Parties have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of
construction for said Project and have agreed as follows:
That, the 19 60 Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found
to be 610 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and
established practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
1280 vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
designated as Type C of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952, more fully
described as follows:
The surface shall consist of Plant Mix Asphalt , 99 feet
wide on a roadway 38 —I feet wide. The maximum grade shall be 4.RR percent
and the curvature shall not exceed 4 degrees and 0 minutes. The rights of

Imaxxa4 Bridges and Separations shall have a design load of H -9c1 S -7F, Those
structures having a length less than sixty (60) feet shall have a clear roadway
width, between curbs or wheel guards, of 38 feet and those having a length
of sixty (60) feet and over shall have a clear roadway width of 9R feet.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Parties Thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf
of the County by virtue of a Resolution passed at the meeting of the Board of
County Commissioners held onAugust 16, 1961 a certified copy of which is
attached herete.

the DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS of the STATE OF COLORADO, dated Aug. 16' , 19 61
