RE: APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR JUVENILE
ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE GRANT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -CITY
OF GREELEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Memorandum of Understanding for
the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Grant between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by
and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and the City of Greeley, with
terms and conditions being as stated in said memorandum of understanding, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said memorandum of
understanding, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Memorandum of Understanding for the Juvenile Accountability
Incentive Grant between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, and the City of Greeley be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said memorandum of understanding.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 30th day of August, A.D., 1999.

Memorandum of Understanding
Regarding the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Grant("JAIG")jointly applied for and awarded,the
City of Greeley and the County of Weld do agree to the following:
The City of Greeley requests to be allowed to administer the provisions of the program component of
the JAIG grant referred to as the Regional Gang Training. This component is in the amount of
$20,000.
The City of Greeley agrees to create a line item in the City budget for the purpose of tracking all
expenses related to the Regional Gang Training up to $20,000. The City will carry this balance for 90
days,or until paid in full,whichever sooner occurs. The Regional Gang Training event is projected to
occur within 30 days from the date this memorandum of understanding is signed.
The City of Greeley agrees to provide to the County copies of all receipts and accounting related to the
Regional Gang Training portion of the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Grant. The County agrees to
promptly forward statements for all expenses incurred by the City to the JAIG Grant Financial Office,
in order to receive Grant funds to reimburse the City in a timely manner.
The County agrees to fully reimburse the City of Greeley for all expenses for which the County
receives reimbursement funds from the Grant financial office, for the Regional Gang Training up to a
total of$20,000. Reimbursement will occur within 30 days after the County receives the said Grant
funds from the Grant financial office.
