MR. DALE DILKA PURCHASED THE SUBJECT PROPERTY (A VACANT GRAIN
ELEVATOR BUILT IN 1961) FOR$10,000.00 ON SEPTEMBER 12TH, 1995 BY A BILL OF
SALE FROM CARGILL, INCORPORATED. THE BILL OF SALE WAS NOT RECORDED
(SO NEW OWNER NAME AND ADDRESS WERE NOT CHANGED). MR. DILKA DID
NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE OF VALUE FOR 1996 OR 1997 DUE TO THE FACT THAT
THE BILL OF SALE WAS NOT RECORDED.
IN SEPTEMBER OF THIS YEAR MR. DILKA WAS NOTIFIED BY CARGILL THAT
TAXES WERE UNPAID AND DUE AND THE ASSESSOR'S ESTIMATE OF VALUE ON
THE SUBJECT PROPERTY.
DUE TO THE ABOVE, MR. DILKA NOW APPEALS THE ASSESSOR'S VALUE FOR 1998
AND HAS FILED FOR AND ABATEMENT FOR 1996 & 1997.
THE ASSESSOR'S OFFICE HAS REVIEW THE VALUE ON THE SUBJECT
CONSIDERING THE BASE YEAR SALE AND CONSIDERING SALE COMPARISONS OF
SIMILAR VACANT GRAIN ELEVATORS IN RURAL TOWNS. THE VALUE OF THE
SUBJECT WAS DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: SUBJECT BUSHEL CAPACITY OF 120,000
BU X 0.35 PER BU EQUALS A VALUE OF $42,000.00. THE SUBJECT IS A

This is to advise you that the Weld County Board of Commissioners will hear your petition for

at 9:00 a.m., at which time you may be heard. You are required to submit any supporting
