RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT #1159 FOR A
PRIVATE AIRSTRIP IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - VANDENBOS
A public hearing was conducted on September 10, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer - EXCUSED
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated August 18, 1997, and duly published August 28,
1997, in the South Weld Sun, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Leslie
Vandenbos for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit #1159 for a private
airstrip in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this
a matter of record. Gloria Dunn, Department of Planning Services representative, presented a brief
summary of the proposal and entered the favorable recommendation of the Planning Commission
into the record as written. Leslie Vandenbos was present to answer questions from the Board.
Commissioner Hall questioned whether Development Standard #2 should be a Development
Standard or whether it would be better to place it somewhere else. Mr. Morrison explained the
vested right is created only if all the other Development Standards are met and stated it might be
better placed in the title of the approving resolution. Commissioner Hall asked Mr. Morrison to
review the placement for all cases. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Harbert moved to approve the request of Leslie Vandenbos for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Special Review Permit #1159 for a private airstrip in the A (Agricultural)
Zone District, based on the recommendations of the Planning staff and the Planning Commission,
with the Conditions of Approval and Development Standards as entered into the record. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Hall, and it carried unanimously.
