Dear Sir:
Background
The City' s transit service provides transportation to the Weld County complex
on 17th Avenue. Bus routes 3 and 7 connect this area with the south areas of
Greeley and Evans with service every thirty (30) minutes. Route 3 provides
service to the entrance of the Human Services facility. Both route 3 and 7
proceed north on 17" Avenue and turn east on "O" Street where there is a bus
stop.
Based on your recommendation Transit Services and Traffic Services are moving
the current bus stop south on 17°" Avenue, so it is more sheltered from the
wind and closer to the Health Services facility. This bus stop will serve
route 3 and 7 and will be done soon.
Request for Preference
A question for the county is whether to continue to keep the bus stop for
route 3 at the entrance of the Human Services facility or to add a bus stop in
the parking lot north of the County Jail and a second bus stop in the parking
lot north of the Health Services and Planning facility. Route 3 only has time
available to provide service into the parking lot at the Human Services
facility or into the connected parking lots on top of the hill. The enclosed
map shows where the two (2) new bus stops would be located if the county
agrees.
