IN REPLY TO YOUR RECENT LETTER FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT WHICH WOULD
ALLOW A TREE FARM AND HOME BUSINESS IN AN AGRICULTURAL ZONE DISTRICT,
WE WOULD LIKE TO GO ON RECORD OPPOSING THIS SPECIAL USE PERMIT.
- FIRST, I WOULD LIKE TO STATE THAT WE HAVE LIVED HERE SINCE THE EARLY 1970'S.
- OUR THREE CHILDREN WENT TO SCHOOL AND GREW UP HERE AND THIS IS WHERE
WE PLAN TO RETIRE.
- DUE TO MAJOR HEALTH PROBLEMS, OUR DAUGHTER, AND HER FAMILY HAS MOVED
BACK HOME. WE HAVE A LITTLE OVER 2-1/4 ACRES AND WE THOUGHT WE WOULD
INVESTIGATE PUTTING A TRAILER ON OUR PROPERTY, BUT WE WERE TOLD IT WAS NOT
ZONED FOR THIS. CONSEQUENTLY, TWO YEARS AGO WE ADDED ABOUT 1,000 SQ
FEET TO THE EXISTING HOUSE. (CAUSING OUR TAXES TO INCREASE $277 FOR THIS
NEXT YEAR).
DURNG THIS PROJECT. WE WERE TOLD WE HAD TO PUT IN A NEW SEPTIC SYSTEM
AND ELIMINATE THE OLD EXISTING SYSTEM BECAUSE WE COULD NOT HAVE TWO
SEPTIC SYSTEMS ON THE SAME PLOT. PUTTING THIS SYSTEM IN CAUSED US
PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF THE TESTS WE WERE REQUIRED TO DO BEFORE RECEIVING
APPROVAL OF THE SYSTEM. AFTER MORE EXPENSE AND TIME. WE DID GET OUR SEPTIC
SYSTEM APPROVED. BUT THIS MAKES ME WONDER HOW A PERSON CAN DO THIS TODAY
WITHOUT EVEN A PERMIT.
- OUR ROAD IS A LOOP AND CURRENTLY DOES NOT HAVE MUCH TRAFFIC ON IT. WE
BOUGHT THIS PROPERTY BECAUSE OF THIS AND WE LIKE IT THAT WAY. HAVING
A BUSINESS IN THE AREA WILL ADD TO THE TRAFFIC. WE WERE TOLD WE COULD NOT
PUT IN ANOTHER DRIVE ON OUR PROPERTY BECAUSE OF THE ROAD. IF SOME RULES
ARE IGNORED (i.e. TWO SEPTICS SYSTEMS ON ONE PLOT --A TRAILER HOUSE) WHATS
TO KEEP THEM FROM PUTTING IN A DRIVE FOR THE BUSINESS ONTO OUR ROAD. ALSO
WE FEEL A BUSINESS AND A TRAILER IN THE AREA WILL DEVALUE OUR PROPERTY
AND GREATLY AFFECT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE AT A TIME WHEN WE ARE READY TO
RETIRE,

Dear Sir:
I am totaly opposed to tte present operation on the above mentioned property
as it is being used for industrial purposes & not "Farm Home Business" as the
permit is being applied for states. This property has a trailer house presently
parked on & being used which is totaly out of compliance & regard for the neighbor—
hood. As the situation exists this operation & lack of regard for the neighbors
will devalue all the property surrounding the area.
