AND TEN (10) RESIDENTIAL LOTS ZONED E (ESTATE) FOR A TOTAL OF 12 LOTS -
DOUG AND DIANA CUMMINGS/LARRY KAYLOR
A public hearing was conducted on March 4, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chair
Commissioner W. H. Webster, Pro-Tem
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall - EXCUSED
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Shani Eastin
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated February 11, 1998, and duly published February 18,
1998, in the Platteville Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Doug and
Diana Cummings and Larry Kaylor for a Change of Zone from Agricultural to PUD for two (2)
Residential/Agricultural lots zoned A (Agricultural) and ten (10) Residential lots zoned E (Estate)
for a total of 12 lots. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Shani
Eastin, Department of Planning Services representative, submitted a memorandum dated March
4, 1998, and requested the hearing be continued to March 18, 1998, to allow the applicant to meet
Condition of Approval #5 which states, "Prior to scheduling before the Board of County
Commissioners the applicant shall submit for review and approval to the Department of Planning
Services a revised open space design for the development that incorporates 15% of the site as
common open space as described in Ordinance 197, Section 6.3.5". No public testimony was
offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to continue the request of Doug and Diana Cummings and Larry
Kaylor to March 18, 1998, at 10:00 a.m., for a Change of Zone from Agricultural to PUD for two (2)
Residential/Agricultural lots zoned A (Agricultural) and ten (10) Residential lots zoned E (Estate)
for a total of 12 lots. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Baxter, and it carried
unanimously.
